Indoor go-karting, entertainment complex coming to popular OKC district
Half Development is the home of Flix Brewhouse and Chicken N Pickle.
An indoor go-kart complex is planned to join a popular Oklahoma City entertainment district. Half Development, the home of Flix Brewhouse and Chicken N Pickle, has been courting the idea for the last five years, and they are excited to finally have Andretti Indoor Karting and Games on board. The 100,000-square-foot entertainment center will feature high-speed electric superkarts on two multi-level tracks, arcade games, virtual reality experiences, bowling alleys, laser tag arenas, a restaurant, bar, and 6,000 square feet of event space. Tammy Fate, the senior manager of retail development and recruitment at Half Development, expressed her excitement for this new addition to the entertainment hub and its potential for attracting more like-minded developments. “Just having an entertainment hub over there and having the traffic of 100,000 cars per day that are going to I-235, the location and connectivity is going to be key for them,” Fate said.
The Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce Sees Potential
The Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce sees great potential with this new addition to the Half Development, stating that it puts Half Development on the path to becoming an entertainment hub by attracting more developments. Fate also commented, “I think with Andretti’s, it helps solidify the need for more development in that area. We’re excited they chose a site here in Oklahoma City.”
Overall, this new addition is expected to be a great success and is sure to attract a large number of visitors to the entertainment district, solidifying Oklahoma City’s reputation as a great place for entertainment and leisure.
