Reopening of Amistad Dam International Bridge
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations Laredo Field Office has announced that the Amistad Dam International Bridge will reopen. The bridge had been closed for an extended period due to a maintenance issue.
Operating Hours
Beginning on Monday, July 17, 2023, the Amistad Dam Port of Entry in Del Rio, Texas will resume normal operating hours. The port of entry will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., seven days a week.
Unaffected Operations
The Del Rio Port of Entry and cargo operations will continue their normal operations and are unaffected by the reopening of the Amistad Dam International Bridge.
Reminder for Travelers
CBP would like to remind travelers of the importance of having their equipped radio frequency identification documents (RFID) ready. This includes U.S. passport cards, newer versions of the border crossing card, and resident alien cards issued since 2011. By utilizing the Ready Lanes and having entry documents ready at the booth, travelers can help facilitate their processing. Travelers can monitor wait times at the Del Rio Port of Entry using the following link.
