Fashion's It Girl reveals tips for South of France.

Fashion’s It Girl reveals tips for South of France.

Fashion’s favorite It girl and designer, Haya Jarrar, has been coming to South of France for years. Known for her unique personal style elevating demure classics with eclectic flare, the Dubai-based Jordanian Founder & Creative Director for ready-to-wear brand ROMANI is equally knowledgeable when it comes to the best places to visit in her top summer destination.

How long have you been coming to SoF and why do you love it?

I’ve been visiting the South of France for quite a while, and I absolutely adore it. There’s so much to do and not to mention the incredible food and the wonderful people.

What’s your favorite time to visit SoF?

My favorite months in the South of France are June and July.

What’s your favorite place to stay at when you are here?

Although I typically stay at a family home in Cannes, there are few hotels that I absolutely love. My top choices are Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, Hotel de Paris in Monaco and the La Reserve in St Tropez.

Do you have any favorite restaurants/beach clubs/bars/hidden gems when you are here?

Salama St Tropez / The Grill Monaco / the restaurant at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc / LPM in Nice / Kinugawa St Tropez / Byblos St Tropez and Pablo St Tropez for drinks/ Le Guerite Cannes / Anjuna Beach Cap d’ail / La Reserve in Nice / Gaia Monaco/ my favorite is La Bastide Saint-Antoine, and Jacques Chibois not a lot of people know about it / Casa Amore St Tropez / Keller Beach Antibes/ Loulou St Tropez / Indie Beach St Tropez/ Monte Carlo Beach/ Bar Américain Monaco, and finally the best non local restaurants for me would be Em Sherif Monaco and BanH-Hoi St Tropez.

I also love Baba Restaurant Bar Beach in Cap d’Antibes, dinner at Mamo Michelangelo in Antibes, Hotel Amour in Nice, Bocca Nissa, Castle Plage, and La Colombe D’or.

Secret place that you love?

Best gelato is definitely Glacier Barbarac in St Tropez — classic.

Best clubs to dance the night away?

No one really needs night clubbing when you can party all day in the South of France. However if I were to choose a favorite nightclub it would be Jimmy’z in Monaco.

Any top picks for fashion boutiques?

When it comes to shopping in the SoF, it is super easy because even the high end stores offer unique collections that are perfect for the summer, like One Monte Carlo where you’ll find everything you’re looking for, the Metropole Shopping Center, the charming town of St Tropez and even the Croisette in Cannes and of course some hidden gem beach stores.

Best place to wind down and chillax?

When I want to relax and unwind I book a room at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and spend the day by the pool/sunbathe, read a book and swim.

Your top picks of must-see places or must-dos this season?

Party at Anjuna Beach on a Sunday, dine at Jacques Chibois, start your party at Bar Américain in Hotel de Paris Monaco, party and dine at Salama in St Tropez, dine at Kinugawa St Tropez.

What to wear in South of France — your top fashion/jewelry picks? What’s the one thing you can’t live without this summer?

I never step out of the house during the summer without a hat! Adds a touch of chicness always! So I’m currently obsessed with my Gucci hat. My Pucci beach bag that I found in Taormina and of course can’t live without my Romani bralettes and dresses that every girl needs in the summer.
