PARKERSBURG, W.Va. Community Gathers for Health and Wellness Day
On Saturday afternoon, Camden Clark Medical Center along with other vendors came together at Grand Central Mall to host a health and wellness day, aimed at fostering community well-being.
CCMC: Focusing on Preventative Measures and Health Procedures
Camden Clark Medical Center (CCMC) was dedicated to providing valuable preventive services and health procedures during the event. Attendees had access to various screenings and examinations such as EKGs, blood work, glucose level checks, and more. Stacy Houser, who leads The Temple challenge, organized classes in the mall to promote the event.
Vendors Bring Unique Knowledge and Expertise to the Community
Each participating vendor contributed their own unique knowledge and expertise to benefit the community. They offered resources and guidance that aligned with their respective companies to address specific health concerns and provide tailored advice.
A Welcome Return: Interacting with the Community
This event marked the first time it had taken place since 2019. Rehab Director, Missy Covert, expressed her joy in being able to fully interact with the community they serve once again. Covert emphasized the importance of providing essential medical services to individuals who may have lacked access to blood work, EKGs, and other valuable resources.
According to Covert, the event was a resounding success, given the substantial amount of knowledge shared with the community in just one hour.
Looking Ahead
The health and wellness day organized by CCMC and Grand Central Mall proved to be a valuable initiative that brought together both healthcare providers and community members. With an emphasis on preventative measures and accessible health procedures, this event contributed to the overall well-being of the community in Parkersburg, WV.
