ASU hosts national meeting for healthcare allies.

Dr. Angela Thomas-David, associate dean and professor of Occupational Therapy at ASU, coordinated an event for the National Society of Allied Health (NSAH), of which she is the president. The organization consists of Allied Healthcare professionals from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), including faculty, staff, and practitioners in the field. Since its establishment in 1974, NSAH has been dedicated to improving the health status of Black citizens and marginalized populations across the nation through community service, education, employment, and research. Thomas-David expressed appreciation for the support and donations from ASU President, Dr. Quinton T. Ross, Jr., his leadership team, and others that made the meeting possible.

Representing ASU during the opening session was retired Colonel Gregory Clark, the vice president of Institutional Advancement. Clark, a United States Army veteran, acknowledged the contributions of the gathered professionals and brought greetings on behalf of President Ross and the ASU Board of Trustees. As a small gesture of appreciation, ASU sponsored a reception in their honor at their newest entertainment venue, The Nest, located beside the ASU Stadium.
