MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) — Police find surprise passenger in stolen car: A kitten
The Meriden Police Department announced on its Facebook page and in a news release on Monday that officers, while examining a stolen car for evidence, discovered a gray-and-white male kitten hiding under one of the seats. The vehicle had collided with a police car during a chase on Thursday.
Suspected connection to armed robberies
The pursuit of the stolen car was initiated after authorities received information that it may have been used in armed robberies in nearby communities earlier that day. Following the crash, six suspects fled the scene but were swiftly apprehended by the police.
Searching for the owner
The police department is now reaching out to the public in an effort to locate the owner of the adorable feline passenger. They are asking anyone with information to contact Meriden police or animal control.
