Million-Dollar Home Owned by Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s Son Destroyed in Medford Fire
A $1.35 million home owned by Alexander Warren, the son of Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, was destroyed in a raging blaze on Tuesday morning. Located on 44 Terrace Road in Medford, the vacant home was undergoing major renovations for about a year before the fire.
Firefighters Struggled to Battle the Fire in a Densely Packed Neighborhood
The Medford Fire Department responded to a report of a fire around 1 a.m., finding flames shooting from the heavily renovated home. Firefighters from multiple communities worked for over five hours to extinguish the fire, but they faced significant obstacles due to water pressure issues and difficulty getting engines up the hill in the densely packed neighborhood.
Son of Sen. Warren Requesting Privacy for Family
Video footage from the scene showed thick black smoke visible miles away, and the heavily charred structure now seems to be a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and there were no reported injuries to firefighters. In a statement, Sen. Warren requested privacy for her family and expressed her gratitude to the firefighters who worked tirelessly to put out the fire.
