Women’s History Month Celebration at Gloucester Stage Company
The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts and Suffrage100MA are teaming up to present a special program in honor of Women’s History Month. The event will take place at Gloucester Stage Company, located at 267 East Main St. in Gloucester. The celebration will take place on Tuesday, March 28th, from 6-8 p.m.
Program Includes Film Screening and Panel Discussion
The event program will include a screening of Suffrage100MA’s film, “The Fight for Women’s Suffrage: Looking Back, Marching Forward,” followed by a panel discussion titled, “The Work Continues!” The discussion will be moderated by Pattye Comfort, Executive Director of LWVMA, and will feature panelists Cheryl Clyburn Crawford of MassVOTE, Sasha Goodfriend of MassNOW, Fredie Kay of Suffrage100MA, and Nicole McClain of the North Shore Juneteenth Association.
Featured Exhibit and Reception
Attendees will have the opportunity to view a featured exhibit by the North Shore Juneteenth Association, titled “Tower of Strength: Black Women of the Suffrage Movement.” The evening will conclude with a reception.
Admission and Registration

Proceeds Benefit Young Students at Massachusetts Civics Projects Showcase
All proceeds from the Women’s History Month Celebration will be used to support eighth- to twelfth-graders at the Massachusetts Civics Projects Showcase, which will be held at Clark University in Worcester on June 2nd.
