Windmills: Offering Unparalleled Ambiance, Dining, and Entertainment.

Windmills: A Unique Destination in Grandscape

Windmills is an architecturally fascinating, destination dining restaurant located in Grandscape, The Colony’s thriving entertainment district. Created by Total Environment Hospitality, Windmills offers a plethora of activities and amenities that make it an ideal place to spend the whole day. It is not just an Indian restaurant, but a combination of a brewery, library, jazz club, and more.

A Multifaceted Experience

Windmills goes beyond being an excellent craft brewery. It features a second-floor brewery managed by the award-winning Brewmaster Cal Ryan. The craft cocktail bar, with its expert mixologist creating visually stunning and delicious concoctions, is a treat for cocktail enthusiasts. And it’s not just a jazz club; it hosts local and regional musicians regularly on a state-of-the-art stage. Moreover, Windmills provides a well-stocked library with books on art, architecture, fiction, and other subjects to encourage visitors to linger and delve into their interests.

An Oasis of Cool

Stepping into Windmills on a scorching day, Paulette and I instantly felt cooler and refreshed. This aesthetically designed gem, created by architects from Total Environment Hospitality, provided a respite from the glaring noon-day sun. The spacious dining area, adorned with custom-designed tables and camel-skin chairs, exuded warmth and hospitality.

A Warm Welcome from GM Neil Alexander

At the entrance, we were warmly greeted by GM Neil Alexander, an industry veteran with 18 years of experience. Alexander, who also happens to be a talented Mixologist, Flavor Architect, and musician, immediately made us feel at home. The carefully curated soundtrack featuring our favorite artists further enhanced our experience.

Delightful Dining Experience

Our lunch at Windmills was a delightful affair. Our host recommended a creatively designed charcuterie board along with two exquisite craft cocktails. Paulette opted for the Euphoria, a delicately-flavored purple cocktail made with Empress Gin, Crème d/Violette, and topped with an orchid. I chose the spicy Spice Route, which blended hellfire bitters, citrus fruits, Serrano pepper infusion, fig and raisin infusion, and Nannari Sharbat. Alongside our charcuterie board, we relished the parmesan naan bread and savory tandoori chicken. For our main course, I savored the flavorful Malabar Chicken Curry while Paulette tried the Smoked Leal Maas, a lamb dish. As we were celebrating a belated birthday, the Chef surprised us with a sticky toffee cake for dessert.

An Unforgettable Experience

Windmills at Grandscape offers more than just food in a beautifully designed space. The owners, who also opened the original Windmills in Bangalore in 2012, have combined Southwestern specialties with authentic Indian dishes on their menu. Live musical performances on a large stage and thousands of books invite visitors to immerse themselves in a unique experience. Whether you visit for lunch, happy hour, or a special evening out with dinner and live music, Windmills offers something fresh for every visitor.
