Alabama High School Choir’s Impromptu Performance Goes Viral

A choir from Hewitt-Trussville High School in Alabama recently gained viral fame thanks to an impromptu performance of the national anthem. The group of seven students found themselves at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C. during a visit to perform at the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade.

Spontaneous Performance Captivates Onlookers

While touring the memorial, the choir suddenly stopped and began singing the Star-Spangled Banner. Passersby were captivated by the performance and quickly began recording and sharing the moment on social media.

A Group of Soon-to-Be Graduates

Six of the seven students who performed the national anthem are high school seniors who will be graduating in the coming weeks. The impromptu performance was an emotional moment for the group and a fitting way to end their trip to Washington, D.C.
