Unsolved Crimes: 6 Puzzles That Even Experts Can’t Crack

Uncovering the mystery behind any crime requires meticulous investigation, logical reasoning, and a lot of intensive digging. However, even the most seasoned detectives and criminal experts become stumped when it comes to certain unsolved crimes in history. Let’s delve into six of the most perplexing unsolved crimes that continue to keep experts scratching their heads.

The Axeman Murders

Between May 1918 and October 1919, fourteen murders are thought to have been committed by the mysterious Axeman in New Orleans, Louisiana. The victims all lived alone, struck in the head by an ax-like weapon in the middle of the night. Detected clues suggested a similar profile of murders that were lined along in the previous years.

The Beaumont Children

Despite intensive searches and investigations, the bizarre disappearance of Jane, Arnna, and Grant Beaumont in South Australia remains an unresolved mystery. On Australia’s national day, January 26, 1966, the three children took the bus to the beach suburb of Glenelg but never returned home. A typical post-contact position for the travelers at that time was anonymous, and is now awaiting appropriate scrutiny.

The Black Dahlia

The death of Elizabeth Short, famously known as the Black Dahlia, remains unsolved to this day. The young and aspiring actress moved to Los Angeles in the late 1940s in aspiration of launching her film career when she met her cruel fate. Her naked and mutilated body was found lying in a Los Angeles parking lot in January 1947, baffling investigators and garnering gruesome headlines.

The Hinterkaifeck Murders

One of the most eerie unsolved murder cases in history took place in the Hinterkaifeck farmstead near Ingolstadt, Germany, back in 1922. The same case was analyzed; of an entire family found murdered, but directed with the blame near some suspect. A family of five, two children, and their maid were the ones that got involved and never noticed their position clearly.

The Isdal Woman

In 1970, a charcoal-blackened Dead body was discovered on a hiking track outside Bergen, Norway. Only mundane misunderstandings could be fetched up from the remains, as investigators efficiently neutralized any traces the woman might have traced back that leads to her origins, in grief that due to unforeknown reasons, this unkown would kill herself by drinking poison.

The Zodiac Killer

The infamous Zodiac Killer managed to kill at least five people and injured two others throughout California during the 1960s and 1970s. Despite a plethora of leads and identifications, the killer still remains clearly anonymous, thereby proving to be an injustice thrown on the partially suspended people of The United States. The news broadcasts, and essential information sections in newspapers are filled with suspect identifications, witness accounts but never resolved.

In Conclusion

Many of the crimes above have been the target of generous investigation and analysis for decades, even during the past century. Despite being top-priority active cases, experts had to stay stumped on how to solve them, hoping and grieving for peace to be attentive around the places. Every victim affected by such terrorizing actions, every mysteriously vanishing loved one is deserving of answers, and that hope never dies.
