Textron Aviation has unveiled its newest midsize business jet, the Cessna Citation Ascend, which is expected to enter service in 2025. The Ascend will be equipped with state-of-the-art Garmin G5000 avionics, including autothrottle technology and synthetic vision, and Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545D engines designed for increased fuel efficiency and thrust. The aircraft will also have a fully customisable interior featuring a flat floor for a more comfortable experience and all-new cabin windows for increased natural light. The Citation Ascend is expected to offer improved maintenance intervals, with customers enrolled in the company’s PowerAdvantage programme enjoying 18-month or 800-hour airframe maintenance intervals.
