Spider-Man and Venom swing onto Disney+
Disney+ has announced that six Spider-Man films will be joining the streaming service in the U.S. this spring in a move that’s sure to thrill Marvel fans. The films include “Spider-Man” from 2002, “Spider-Man 2” from 2004, “Spider-Man 3” from 2007, “The Amazing Spider-Man” from 2012, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” from 2017 and “Venom” from 2018, all of which will be available to subscribers.
When can you watch them?
The first four Spider-Man films will be available from April 21, 2023, while “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and “Venom” will be joining the service on May 12, 2023.
What are the movies about?
The films start with “Spider-Man” from 2002, in which an average teenager named Peter Parker gains superpowers after being bitten by a radioactive spider. He uses his new abilities to fight crime, taking on the villainous “Green Goblin” in the process.
The sequel, “Spider-Man 2” from 2004, sees Peter juggling his dual life as a student and a superhero. His life gets even more complicated when he encounters a new villain, the multi-tentacled “Doc Ock”.
“Spider-Man 3” from 2007 finds Peter finally in a good place with the girl of his dreams and lining up against Sandman, Venom, and the New Goblin.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” from 2012 sees an even younger Peter Parker grappling with high school and superhuman crises as his alter-ego Spider-Man.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” from 2017 takes us to a time when Peter is newer to the crime-fighting game, navigating his identity as Spider-Man with the help of his mentor Tony Stark.
In “Venom” from 2018, Eddie Brock becomes host to an alien symbiote that imbues him with extraordinary superpowers – turning him into the titular character. But Venom’s new powers are tested when he faces off against rival symbiote, Riot.
