A Man Shot at The Cheesecake Factory in Fashion Valley Mall
A man walked into The Cheesecake Factory at Fashion Valley Mall with a gunshot wound in his leg on Friday night, according to authorities.
Police Respond to the Incident
The San Diego Police Department received a call at 9:54 p.m. Friday about a man who entered the restaurant located on Friar’s Road in Mission Valley and claimed to have been shot in the leg in one of the parking lots.
Details of the Incident
The victim, a 29-year-old man, was sitting in his car when the suspect opened one of his doors, pointed a gun at him, and demanded all of his belongings. The victim complied and handed over his money and phone.
Attempting to defend himself, the victim tried to disarm the suspect, but in the struggle, the suspect shot the victim in the upper left thigh and fled the scene, as reported by the police.
The Victim’s Condition
The injured man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Description of the Suspect
The suspect was described by the police as a person aged 20 to 30, wearing a dark beanie, shirt, and pants.
