The Constanta Dolphinarium in Romania has added four Ukrainian dolphins and three sea lions, along with their trainers and doctors, to its team. The Ukrainian animals were relocated to the dolphinarium from an aquarium in Kharkiv last February when shelling began in the city. Once paperwork was completed, the animals arrived at the Constanta Dolphinarium in May, where they underwent a month-long quarantine period before being introduced to their new colleagues. The animals now work and perform together regularly, despite language barriers between their trainers. The Constanta Dolphinarium, part of a natural science museum, is one of 14 dolphinariums and captive sea animal facilities in European Union member states.
