A United Airlines flight that was going from Houston to New York caught fire on the tarmac during takeoff on Sunday, according to multiple reports.
The flight was evacuated after an engine issue forced the plane to abort its takeoff, the Federal Aviation Administration shared on Sunday.
The flight, United Airlines Flight 1382, was set to take off from George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport when it had a “reported engine issue” at around 8:35 a.m. local time.
Video of the plane with one of its wings on fire has quickly circulated on social media, drawing engagement after a week of aircraft encounters.
Passengers could be heard speaking in the video as one of the flight attendants asked them to stay in their seats.
“No, it’s on fire!” one of the passengers can be heard saying.
The plane was later evacuated as passengers went down the stairs and the emergency slide of the plane, the Houston Fire Department shared.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
The Airbus A319 had 104 passengers and five crew members on board at the time of the fire.
The incident is still being investigated at this time by the FAA.
