MARIETTA — Memorial Health System’s Department of Cardiology is inviting the community to join in celebrating Heart Awareness Month in February with two free events dedicated to promoting heart health and education.
The EKG Screening Event offers community members the opportunity to take proactive steps toward heart health. Screenings will be held at the Belpre Medical Campus in Belpre and the Athens Medical Campus in Athens, providing convenient access to this essential service.
The Belpre EKG event will be 5-7 p.m. Feb. 18, while the Athens EKG event will be 5-7 p.m. Feb. 25.
Concluding the month’s focus on heart health, the Women With Heart Luncheon will be sponsored by Memorial Health Foundation. This special event will be held on Feb. 28 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Broughton Community Building, 639 State Route 821, Marietta.
The luncheon will feature interventional cardiologist Jason Schott, DO, as the keynote speaker. Joining him will be a panel of experts, including: Geoffrey R. Cousins, MD, FACS, Cardiothoracic Surgeon; Jennifer Jones, MD, Cardiologist; Albeir Mousa, MD, FACS, RPVI, MPH, MBA, Vascular Surgeon; and Daniele Fuhrich, MD, Lifestyle Medicine.
