NIC announces fall semester dean’s list

North Idaho College recently announced student’s named to the fall 2024 dean’s list. Eligible students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits and obtain a grade point average of 3.75 or above.

NIC had 381 students make the dean’s list and 221 students graduate in fall semester 2024.

Area students who earned a spot on the list include:

Geyman named to president’s list

The following students were named to the fall 2024 president’s list at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. The list recognizes students who have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester to receive this honor.

“As the comprehensive Christian polytechnic institution in the country, LeTourneau University attracts students who are among our nation’s best,” LeTourneau University President Dr. Steven D. Mason said. “I’m especially impressed with these honor roll students, and I expect them to have a significant impact on our future.”

Earning a spot on the list was Jonathan Geyman of Bonners Ferry, who is an electrical and computer engineering major.

LeTourneau University is the Christian polytechnic university located in Longview, Texas, 120 miles east of Dallas, Texas, and 60 miles west of Shreveport, Louisiana.

Students earn SNHU academic honors

Four Bonner County students have earned a spot on Southern New Hampshire fall 2024 president’s list. The fall terms run from September to December.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Earning a spot on the list were Daniel Triebwasser of Sagle, Brooke Ramsey of Priest River, Tonisha Martin of Ponderay, and Maggee Pankoke of Blanchard.

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is a private, nonprofit, accredited institution with a 92-year history of educating traditional-aged students and working adults. Now serving more than 200,000 learners worldwide, SNHU offers approximately 200 undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs, available online and on its 300-acre campus in Manchester, N.H. 

Adams performed in holiday concert

Belmont University’s Hannah Adams was among more than 600 student musicians and vocalists to perform in the annual concert tradition, “Christmas at Belmont: Live from Nashville.”

“It’s not just a stage of choral orchestral people singing Christmas song after Christmas song,” explained Director of Choral Activities Dr. Jeffery Ames. “We could have a poignant piece by a loft choir followed by pop ensemble singing the latest Christmas chart, then percussion ensemble, country, bluegrass — and then the orchestra shows their skills.”

The 90-minute performance featured more than 600 student musicians and vocalists where viewers will witness the depth of Belmont’s musical education. Filmed live in front of an audience at the University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, more than 15 student choirs and ensembles performed including the Belmont Chorale, Symphony Orchestra, Southbound (country) and Voxology, among many others.

Located two miles from downtown Nashville, Tenn., Belmont University comprises nearly 9,000 students from every state and 33 countries.
