Regions Bank facilitates growth of black-owned businesses.

Regions Bank has launched the Birmingham Black-Owned Business Initiative to support more Black-owned businesses in Birmingham, Alabama. The initiative will create new strategies to support Black-owned companies with respect to financing, training, mentorship and outreach programs in order to help grow and strengthen the Black-owned business ecosystem. According to a study by the Brookings Institute, Birmingham has the lowest rate for Black business ownership of companies large enough to include employees beyond the owner out of all large metro areas in the US. The Birmingham Black-Owned Business Initiative aims to support and advance work underway to develop Black-owned businesses in Birmingham.
