Do you dream of being famous? Perhaps you’ve thought it wouldn’t be too bad to have cameras flashing every time you walk or to have people chasing you everywhere you go. However, there is a downside to fame that we must acknowledge; that’s when these people, making up what is generally known as the paparazzi, take us out of our privacy and present us the modern price of admiration”Paparazzi”.
What is paparazzi, and why do they exist?
Before exploring the price of fame, let’s discuss who the paparazzi are and why they exist. Contrary to popular opinion, paparazzi are freelance photographers or agencies that sell newsworthy pictures to magazines, TV shows, or websites. Traditionally these photographers capture the photos of the big-time, A-Listers many don’t see behind the romanticized story talk, but scandal and parties, real or made up dirt that feeds the media outlet agenda.

What, exactly, is the actual cost of this fame? The cost manifests in various ways and is mediated by the sense of safety, reliability, fitness, and the mental well-being celebrities must have. Sudden proliferation of the paparazzi makes the celebrity a paranoid, anxious individual that has breached private photos leading to scandals of personal lives also the cult of beauty reigned.
The Mental effect:
For many celebrities that cannot establish boundaries, it hikes up the disquieting doubt within themselves because they can’t escape the rapid advancements in technology leaving their privacy to a second and now dangerous priority.
Physical impact:
Celebrities often recoil into habitual unhealthy behavior due to the unjust constantly wanting to cover the untouched moments leading to bizarre makeup patterns which display clinical anxiety signs that affect your skin and even your organs if exploited for profit gain.

The paparazzi are a highly niche, highly-funded industry that is highly-toxic to the individuals’ mental and physical wellbeing they scrutinize. It distorts the control boundaries our modern societal developments have sought to protect, compelling catty gossip and plastic beauty archetypes whilst disregarding the star’s personal composure into deep anxiousness and overall mental equated resilience loss. Hence it’s vicious, and most times unsustainable nature insists that paying the price for a shot of fame isn’t worth it!
