For some fall sports teams, the start of another season is but a few weeks away.

Also, getting an early start to the fall season are boys’ and girls’ soccer teams, which can begin practices on July 31 and start playing regular-season matches as early as August 11.

High school volleyball’s opening date for regular-season matches is August 18.

High School football teams can play their season-opening games as early as August 17, although many will open their campaigns on August 18.
