It’s no secret that New York City is an expensive destination for both leisure and business travel. According to consulting firm ECA International, it has been named the most expensive location in the world for business travel, with travelers shelling out around $796 per day. The average cost of a work trip to the Big Apple has increased by 8% from the previous year, due to a post-pandemic surge in demand for business travel and tourism. The rising accommodation costs have contributed to the increase, as stated by Lee Quane, ECA’s Regional Director for Asia, in a statement.
