Frankenmuth, MI: A Hidden Gem on Travel Trivia’s “Favorite Vacation Spots” List
FRANKENMUTH, MI — A travel website highlighted one of Saginaw County’s top tourism destinations, Frankenmuth, among 15 “favorite vacation spots” also considered “best-kept travel secrets.”
Frankenmuth: Michigan’s Lone Representative on the Under-the-Radar Spots in the U.S. List
Travel Trivia published the list, titled “Under-the-Radar Spots in the U.S. We Almost Feel Bad Talking About,” with Frankenmuth as the lone representative from Michigan.
“Our favorite vacation spots blend the best of both worlds: plenty of things to see and do but also not overrun with other visitors,” the article stated. “They’re beloved by locals, but fly just under the radar to remain unspoiled by overtourism.”
A Taste of Germany in Central Michigan
The entry dedicated to Frankenmuth featured an image of the community’s iconic covered bridge.
“It’s Christmas every day of the year in this Bavarian-themed town,” the article read. “Located in central Michigan, the old-fashioned Frankenmuth instantly transports visitors to Germany — no passport required.”
Top Attractions in Frankenmuth: Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth and Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland
The Travel Trivia piece also highlighted Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth restaurant as well as Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland, the holiday-themed retail outlet described as “a Santa lover’s dream.”
