Majeski triumphs, commences playoffs with impressive win.

CLERMONT, Ind. — Ty Majeski dominates in Craftsman Truck Series playoff opener

Ty Majeski put on a commanding performance in Friday’s Craftsman Truck Series playoff opener, securing a spot in the second round of the playoffs. Majeski showcased his skill by leading an impressive 179 out of 200 laps, winning both stages and crossing the finish line 3.4 seconds ahead of Christian Eckes at Indianapolis Raceway Park. This victory marks Majeski’s first win of the season and the third of his career.

Finishing positions and standout performances

Layne Riggs secured a respectable third-place finish, while Carson Hocevar came in fourth. Zane Smith showcased incredible resilience after starting from the back of the pack due to a flat tire replacement, ultimately finishing in fifth place. William Sawalich achieved a personal career best, securing sixth place in the race.

Newcomer Shane van Gisbergen, making his debut in the Truck series, ended the race in 19th place as the first driver one lap down. He will now shift his focus to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course where he will compete in the No. 91 Cup car for Trackhouse Racing in Sunday’s race.

Next stop – Milwaukee

The Truck playoffs will resume on August 27th at the Milwaukee venue. Stay tuned for more exciting racing action.
