In the video, the leopard is seen performing a popular yoga pose, which IFS officer Nanda playfully referred to as “Surya Namaskar.” The video has amassed over 124,000 views and 2,500 likes, with social media users expressing delight and appreciation for the athletic prowess of the wild animal. Several users even joked that the leopard did not require a yoga teacher, YouTube tutorial, or read any fitness books.
‘Land of the Leopard’ National Park in Russia
The video was recorded by a hidden camera installed to track wild animals and their movements. IFS officer Saket Badola originally shared the short clip on Twitter and identified it as taking place at the ‘Land of the Leopard’ National Park in Russia’s far-east. This protected wildlife area is home to one of the last remaining Amur leopard populations in the world, with barely over 100 individuals.
In addition to this spectacular video, Susanta Nanda has previously shared a wide range of interesting and inspiring wildlife content, including a recent clip of dogs chasing away a lion in Gujarat, India. In this video, the lion was seen roaming freely around the village before being quickly chased away by a pack of fiercely protective dogs.
