Farmington Jogger Attacked by Angry Cow

A jogger in Farmington, Maine had a terrifying encounter with an escaped cow on April Fool’s Day, leaving her injured and requiring stitches, according to the Farmington Police Department.

Unfortunate Encounter on the Whistle Stop Trail

The 43-year-old woman was preparing to embark on a jog when the cow, which had escaped from a local farm, charged at her. The jogger was lifted off the ground by the cow’s horns, and suffered a cut that required medical attention.

Cow and Pig Found and Secured

After the incident, the owner of the cow and a pig that had also escaped were informed and able to secure both animals. The case has been referred to the district attorney for further review.

With this unfortunate incident, it’s a reminder to always be aware of our surroundings, particularly in areas where animals may be present.

  1. The jogger in this story was very lucky that she only sustained a minor injury. It could have been much worse if the cow had knocked her down and stepped on her, or if the cow had been carrying any diseases that could have been transmitted through its horns.
