Lake County Registrar of Voters Encourages Schools to Participate in High School Voter Education Weeks
The Lake County Registrar of Voters office is urging Lake County schools to participate in the 2023 High School Voter Education Weeks which run from 17th April to 28th April. The main objective of these weeks is to create awareness among future voters and encourage civic engagement.
Preregistration for Eligible Students
Preregistration is open to eligible students aged 16 and 17. They can pre-register to vote and are automatically added to the voter rolls when they turn 18. To register, students can visit the Registrar of Voters’ office located at 325 N Forbes St. in Lakeport, register online at https://registertovote.ca.gov/, or register at any of Lake County libraries.
Scheduled Booths at the Libraries
Booths are set up at the following libraries on specific days:
- Clearlake Library – Wednesday, April 19, from 2 to 4 p.m.
- Lakeport Library – Thursday, April 20, from 2 to 4 p.m.
- Middletown Library – Wednesday, April 26, from 2 to 4 p.m.
- Upper Lake Library – Thursday, April 27, from 2 to 4 p.m.
