WPEC Captures the Alligator on Video
Reporters from WPEC were on the scene and captured footage of the alligator weaving in and out of traffic as onlookers watched in amazement. The gator caused a delay in traffic, with many drivers slowing down or stopping to avoid it.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Steps In
Officers on site contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to trap and relocate the alligator. Within a short time, an FWC officer was able to capture the alligator and remove it from the area.
Traffic Flows Steady After the Gator’s Capture
Despite the temporary delay in traffic caused by the alligator, the flow of cars returned to normal once it was safely removed. Fortunately, no one was harmed during this unexpected visit by the alligator.
