Sioux City (KTIV) – The Sioux City Explorers were determined to secure their second-place position in the west division as they faced off against the Winnipeg Goldeyes. In the previous series between these two teams, Winnipeg had the upper hand, winning three straight games. However, the Explorers were keen on turning the tables and showcasing their defensive prowess.

The X’s displayed their exceptional defense early on, preventing any runs from being scored in the bottom of the third inning. Miguel Sierra made an impressive 6-4-3 put out, tossing the ball to second base to end the inning.
