Birding Tours
Join the Redwood Region Audubon Society for two free guided birding tours in June. On June 11, from 9 to 11 a.m., walk along the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge with leader Ralph Bucher. The Visitor Center will be the meeting place, and the wheel-chaired accessible, two-mile trail will feature a diverse range of bird species and tidal habitats. On June 18, also from 9 to 11 a.m., Ralph Bucher will lead the birding tour along the Eureka Waterfront Trail. The relatively urban trail offers a chance to observe more species, including peregrine falcons, cormorants, loons, grebes, and otters diving in the bay. For both tours, email Ralph at thebook@reninet.com to sign up.
Summer Camp
