Introduction
On Jan. 10, Daher (Nantes, France) inaugurated its Fly’in technology center, dedicated to future hybrid propulsion and low-carbon aircraft. This center of excellence, located at the Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées Airport in southwestern France, reflects Daher’s commitment to addressing aerospace’s technological and environmental challenges.
Strategic Expertise
The Fly’in center joins two other facilities, Toulouse Log’in for industrial logistics, and Shap’in for composite aerostructures development. These platforms are key to supporting Daher’s activities and strategic plan.
Flagship Projects
Fly’in is involved in research, development, and testing of technologies like the EcoPulse aircraft demonstrator, which explores high-voltage electric hybridization to reduce carbon footprint in aviation.
Partnerships and Collaborations
The technology center aims to build strong partnerships with academic, industrial, and institutional players to accelerate technological innovation and contribute to skill development in the aerospace sector.
Environmental Sustainability
The Fly’in building adheres to the latest environmental standards with features like a green roof and low-carbon concrete slab, aligning with Daher’s commitment to sustainability.
