Chamber Business Expo reunites businesses and consumers.

Chamber Business Expo reunites businesses and consumers.

The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Business Expo returned on Wednesday, bringing businesses and the community together face-to-face at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. John Musella, a spokesman for the SCV Chamber of Commerce, expressed his excitement about the Expo’s return, stating that it has always been the heart of the business community events.

The Business Expo has been a Santa Clarita tradition since 1985, providing an opportunity for community members to interact with local businesses at their booths. Musella described it as a great business-to-business and business-to-consumer opportunity for companies to showcase their products and services.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the last in-person Business Expo took place in 2019. However, this year’s event serves as a way for businesses to reconnect and create connections with other local businesses. This sense of community allows businesses to learn from and support one another.

The event was free to attend, and approximately 600 people had already attended by the halfway mark. With 80 businesses present, the Expo provided a platform for companies to showcase their offerings and connect with potential customers.

The Business Expo was initially a three-day weekend outdoor event. However, Musella believes that condensing it into a four-hour time slot on a weekday allows for more businesses and community members to attend.

Rusty Parr, owner of AV Party Rentals, has been operating in the SCV for over 50 years and has attended the Business Expo since its inception. He emphasized the importance of connecting with other businesses and expressed gratitude for the support the SCV community has provided to his business throughout the years.

Running a business in the SCV has had its challenges, according to Parr. However, the community has stood by his side, enabling him to keep his doors open.

Overall, the Business Expo serves as a vital platform for businesses to showcase their offerings, build connections, and support the community.
