On June 24, the Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center and Museum and the Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance will host the Four Corners Indigenous Art Market. The event aims to celebrate Native artists and culture from throughout the Four Corners region, exposing visitors and the local community to the descendants of the area’s ancestral homelands.

Admission to the event is free, and attendees can expect art demonstrations, cultural lectures, hoop dance performances, and live music. Artwork will also be available for purchase during the event.

The mission of the Four Corners Indigenous Art Market is not only to celebrate and honor Native artists, but to provide platforms for sharing their history, art, knowledge, and culture. The event organizers hope to gain exposure for the artists’ communities while offering educational opportunities for attendees.

The event is actively seeking sponsors to help make the day a success. Sponsors will have their logos printed in the Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance’s newsletter for a year, reaching over 1,000 members of the community every month. There are various levels of sponsorship, and these include having a logo and link on their website, recognition in the newsletter and annual report, social media shoutout, verbal recognition at the event, logo on the event banner, booth at the event, and even an opportunity to speak onstage during the event.

To inquire about sponsorship opportunities, contact Markleigh Swanson at 970-239-1730 or at swcocanyons@email.com. The deadline to have a business logo on the promotional banner is June 8.
