Boost Your Productivity in 10 Minutes

TWEAK YOUR HABITS TO BOOST YOUR PRODUCTIVITY (IN ONLY 10 MINUTES)

We all love being efficient, getting things done fast and moving on with our lives. Whether you’re busy with personal goals, career objectives or both, being productive is crucial. But simply being busy doesn’t always translate to productivity (just ask a procrastinator!) and it’s easy to get lost in exhaustion or distraction. At the same time, nobody wants to consult cumbersome “Instructions for Completing Tasks” manuals- as typical they are- in order to get things done.

So what can be done for a quick productivity pick-up, maybe during lunch time, at work or in between home chores?

Here’s a little cheat sheet with just a few tweaks that can make a big difference:

DE-CLUTTER

It might be easy to underestimate, but even a little re-arrangement or cleaning-up of your immediate surroundings can give your creativity and motivation the boost needed to accomplish many minor tasks, without wasting any spare time. Try organising your desk, re-arranging furniture, cleaning the drawers or decluttering any unused supplies.

FOCUS ON THE DIFFICULT TASKS FIRST

If it’s been looming over you, putting off difficult tasks is a common problem, but tricking yourself into it; promising an easier path next, can surprisingly propel you through all that pesky “underground” work. Accomplishing unpleasant duties early on in the day unleashes lots of energy and motivational impetus. Following with rewarding treats afterwards can tap more into that reserve.

RESULTS RECORDING

Who said taking note of each job done was boring and time-consuming? Yet it is critical if one wants to delegate those repetitive or time-intensive items to someone else to complete, to authorize or for reference at a future time. Doing it after one completion vs aggregating and trying to recall them and completing all of them all in one foggy sweep recording session reduces stress, will serve as proof and most importantly piles up done tasks to keep the mood up.

TAKE A WALK

…rather than a power nap, as long as there is no disruptive input on your walk by others that you come across! Going outside, preferably in fields or gardens, can open up and stimulate the creative threads inside you that you didn’t even know were there. Walking also does a host of physiological mind exercises that can inact an ‘A Ha’ moment of extatism can be easily capturing if not stopped by deadlines etc.

QUICK CHICKS
Being fans of inspirational YouTube videos or Chicken Soup for the Soul type books can’t seriously distract anything for more than a few moments. Yanking occasional tension and break times provide really effective boosts in times in need of extra functioning. Music is such a convenient and accessible escape and can detangle under any circumstance to energise to jump back in to your next work on your foci.

MAKE AN ACTION ORIENTED LIST

It’s game one ploy that simply can’t lose. But to crave attention it has a crucial feature linked to it. Firstly the list needs to contain items you can already budget achievable during the splicing of time that have available, but still surpass all that needed both personal achievement items and a group of actionable ones could either solicit others inputs or those shared within teams. Placing a particular importance, and directed steps in to construct such or whom to consult will, intensify the logic of one’s prioritization and their full usage of time especially for creative brainstormer personality peeps.

In concluding, stopping or interacting every so often during the day done on one’s own free will can expand that primal quality and actual completing quantity of our projects faster than just racing against time. A habit formed during lunch hour can alter a whole mood around that lasts well into the PM productive period that an entire team can sizzle, face challenges, achieve tangible results or implement measurable macro to micro objectives that make sense as natural productivity. So, anyone has 10 spare minutes today?
