Bizarre and Unbelievable: Strange Events You Won’t Believe!
The Human Lightning Conductor
Meet Roy Sullivan. He holds the Guinness World Record for being struck by lightning seven times. Sounds unbelievable, but it’s true. The first lightning strike happened in 1942 when he was just 22 years old. Lightning followed him wherever he went. Despite having burns, bruises, and damaged hearing, he survived all the strikes. Sullivan lived till the age of 71 but eventually passed away in 1983. It’s almost poetic that he died of self-inflicted gunshot.
A Zooming Object Over the Nevada Desert
It’s an incident in March 2023 that has UFO enthusiasts buzzing. Two F-22 pilots intercepted a flying object zooming over the Nevada desert. The speed of the craft was perhaps the most intriguing aspect. The crafts acceleration was reported to be phenomenal, which some calculated to be close to Mach 2 (twice the speed of sound) or even faster. It was even confirmed through Navy pilots that had been tracking this for years but now de-conflassified.
The Scariest Places on Earth
Bieber Colorado, Mayan Temples Mexico, Tower of London, Himalayas, Island of the Dolls Mexico to have a name are some of the scariest places on earth where paranormal activity is expected. These places hide behind them; murderous spirits, ghost sightings, sounds of unexplained noises, the feeling of being watched, and so on. The Tower of London alone has numerous appearances of ghosts. Once you step in, the place buries all lingering happiness, leaving a never-ending mark of fear.
A Talkative Tree Named ‘Rigdum Funnidos’
In 1664, the town of Pontypool, Wales, gave birth to the closest as we know of thing to a miracle: Rigdum Funnidos. He was a tree so wise and prophetic he could talk. As the story goes, crowds would gather around the tree, waiting for it to sweep them away with its mystic wisdom. “Well” Rigdum would say, “my sap tells me that the lawyer, the judge, and the burgesses will come to an end-well won’t they?” and of course, he was right. One stormy night, the oak was struck down with lightning — and never spoke again.
The Vanishing Island
In 2013, a small volcanic island around 30 miles away from Japan appeared, quietly risen amidst the raging Pacific Ocean. It was later given a name, Nishinoshima. The most suspicious fact is that the island appeared mysteriously to vanish and become invisible to satellite imagery. Theories believed that the recent eruption may have played the significant role in the island’s sudden disappearance. Luckily in 2015, the island re-emerged, gaining back its actual shape.
All of the mentioned instances may both go down in history as spectacular and bizarre. Though it can be easy to dismiss these kinds of ‘stories’ down, why not let out your inner child your sense of excitement for getting larger-than-life scares or mysteries. And mostly, sometimes it’s significant to indulge in something beyond our scope but not without that extra spook.
