Atherton Board of Education Seeks Applicants to Fill Vacant Position
The Atherton Board of Education is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a board vacancy following the resignation of Lee Clifford, a member since January 2015. Clifford was re-elected to a full-term position in the November 2022 election.
Qualifications and Application Process
To qualify for the vacant position, applicants must be a registered voter in the Atherton School district and submit a one-page letter of application and resume to the superintendent’s office by 4 p.m. on May 4, 2023. Applications can be addressed to the following: Sandra Talbot, Secretary, Atherton Board of Education, 3354 South Genesee Road, Burton, MI 48519.
Interviews and Selection
Candidates will be interviewed starting on Monday, May 8 at the Atherton Collaboration Space, located at 3354 South Genesee Road in Burton. The interviews are open to the public. The board of education will then select a new member after the completion of interviews.
