A man fulfills his dream of buying a two-wheeler with saved coins
A resident of Sipajhar area in Darrang district, Assam, Md Saidul Hoque has become the talk of the town after buying a scooter with a sack full of saved coins. Running a small shop in Guwahati, Hoque had been saving coins for the past 5-6 years to fulfill his dream of owning a two-wheeler.
According to ANI, Hoque expressed his excitement after finally buying the scooter, saying, “It was my dream to buy a scooter. I started to collect coins 5-6 years ago. Finally, I have fulfilled my dream. I am really happy now.”
The purchase of the scooter with saved coins
Hoque went to a nearby showroom to buy the scooter and made the payment of Rs 90,000 in coins to the sales executive. The owner of the showroom expressed happiness upon hearing about the incident, and wished the man luck for future endeavors, saying, “When my executive told me that a customer has come to our showroom to buy a scooter with coins worth around Rs 90,000, I was delighted, because I had seen such news on TV. I wish him that he would buy a four-wheeler in the future.”
Similar incidents of paying with saved coins to buy vehicles
This is not the first incident of purchasing a vehicle with saved coins. Last year, a man from Uttarakhand’s Rudrapur paid Rs 50,000 to buy a TVS Jupiter scooty from a local dealer. Similarly, in March 2023, 29-year-old V Boopathi from Tamil Nadu paid Rs 2.6 lakh in Rs 1 coins for a Bajaj Dominar 400. About 10 hours were required to count the payment made in coins by the man.
