245 High School Students to Compete in National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium

A total of 245 high school students from all over the country will be heading to Virginia Beach for the 61st National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS). Scheduled to take place from April 12 to 15 at the Founders Inn, the JSHS is the leading platform for high school students to showcase their original STEM research projects.

The JSHS: Encouraging STEM Research and Supporting Students’ Pursuits

The JSHS is a Department of Defense-sponsored program aimed at motivating high school students to undertake original STEM research. The program offers a wide range of scholarships, recognition, and national competitions to support students’ endeavors. The JSHS also provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn and engage with world-class STEM organizations, professionals, and researchers.

Unparalleled Opportunities at the JSHS

The JSHS offers finalists from regional Symposia the chance to present their research projects and learn from various organizations and professionals. During the symposium, participants will get the opportunity to interact with Department of Defense researchers, laboratories, and other STEM organizations to enrich their experiences and knowledge.
