The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County
A new 32,000-square-foot facility was unveiled by the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, with the aim of improving support for teachers and students across the district. Located in Lake Worth Beach, the building features offices, a warehouse, and an expanded Red Apple Supplies showroom, a free teacher resource store that provides classroom supplies at no cost. The goal is to ensure educators have the tools they need without spending out of pocket.
Supporting Teachers and Students
James Gavrilos, the president and CEO of the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, emphasized the significance of the new facility. He stated, “This will give us the physical space we need so that no teacher in Palm Beach County should ever have to dip into their own pocket to buy school supplies for their students.” Superintendent Michael Burke further highlighted the foundation’s goal to expand its reach, ensuring that every school and every teacher has all the supplies they need at no cost to them.
A Hub for Education and Community Events
In addition to providing resources for teachers, the new facility will also serve as a hub for educational programs, training sessions, and community events. This multifunctional space is designed to support students and teachers across the district, fostering a conducive environment for learning and growth.
