Student music competition: Phyllis Triolo.

The Central Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association is excited to hold the 39th Phyllis Triolo Music Competition for exceptionally talented middle and high school students in central Pennsylvania. The event is in association with the School of Music at Penn State University and will take place on May 27th, 2023, at the Esber Rehearsal Hall of the Music Building 1.

Competition Divisions

The competition offers two divisions, namely:

• Junior Division: Students in Grades 6-8.
• Senior Division: Students in Grades 9-12.

Only 32 contestants will participate due to limited space.

Prizes

The Phyllis Triolo Music Competition doesn’t only offer recognition for the gifted musicians but also offers prizes.

Prizes in each division are as follows:

• $300 for the first prize.
• $200 for second prize.
• Possible third Prize of $100.

Registration Deadline and Fees

The deadline to register for the competition is April 29th, 2023.

Fees for the competition are as follows:

• $35 for non-CPMTA teacher students
• $25 for CPMTA teacher students
