BendFilm Announces Executive Director Search
BendFilm, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting independent films and filmmakers, has begun its search for a new executive director. The search follows the departure of Todd Looby, who served as the organization’s executive director since 2016.
BendFilm aims to bring the best independent films and filmmakers to the Central Oregon community, fostering a vibrant and inclusive film culture. With its annual film festival, year-round screenings, and educational programs, BendFilm has become an important platform for independent filmmakers to showcase their work.
The search for a new executive director comes as BendFilm prepares for its 2021 festival, which will take place from October 7th to 17th. The festival promises to be another exciting event, featuring a diverse lineup of thought-provoking films from around the world.
The executive director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of BendFilm. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the film industry and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing independent filmmakers today. They will be responsible for leading the organization, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the growth and sustainability of BendFilm.
As BendFilm continues to expand its reach and impact, the executive director will be expected to build on the organization’s successes and find new ways to engage the community. This includes developing innovative programming, expanding educational initiatives, and forging partnerships with other cultural and artistic organizations.
The search committee, composed of board members and community leaders, will thoroughly review all applications and conduct interviews with potential candidates. They will be looking for a visionary leader who shares BendFilm’s mission and is committed to amplifying the voices of independent filmmakers.
BendFilm encourages qualified candidates from all backgrounds to apply. The organization is dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive environment, both on and off-screen, and believes that diverse perspectives enrich the filmmaking process and foster greater empathy and understanding among audiences.
The deadline for applications is August 31st, 2021. Interested individuals can find more information on the BendFilm website and submit their applications online.
BendFilm is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and is confident that they will find an exceptional individual to lead the organization into its next chapter.
