DENVER Sustainable Fashion Brand Opens New Location at Denver International Airport
A local brand focusing on sustainable fashion opened a new location on Tuesday at the Denver International Airport, which aims to become the “greenest airport in the world.” The brand, called The House of LR&C, is the third brick-and-mortar store opened by co-founders including Broncos quarterback Russel Wilson, Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Ciara, and the business’s president Christine Day.
The House of LR&C: Love, Respect, and Care
At The House of LR&C, brands from the co-founders themselves are featured. Good Man Brand, created by Russell Wilson, focuses on using climate-conscious materials to create long-lasting men’s apparel. Ciara’s brand, Lita by Ciara, offers statement styles for women with a focus on love for the people and the planet. The Human Nation brand showcases gender-inclusive styles that are both earth-friendly and comfortable for people of any size.
Russell Wilson’s Connection to Denver International Airport
During the grand opening, Russell Wilson shared memories of his experiences at the airport. He described landing at the airport in a nice pinstripe suit, dressed for the job he wanted. He reminisced about the highest and lowest moments of his life, including the passing of his father the day after he was drafted to the Colorado Rockies in 2010. Wilson reflected on the significance of Denver in his life and shared that he wrote down his goals for his career and life in a restaurant at the airport, which he still keeps on the wall of his locker.
Making a Positive Impact
One of Wilson’s favorite goals is the Good Man Brand, which he considers one of his greatest accomplishments. The House of LR&C has a mission to create a positive impact on the planet and the community. The brand donates 3% of its profit to the non-profit Why Not You Foundation, founded by Wilson and his wife, which encourages youth to embrace opportunity and overcome challenges. Wilson’s goal is to make people feel good in the clothes they wear while also doing good.
Additionally, The House of LR&C invites artists and creators to collaborate on products, providing an opportunity for anyone to share their work and potentially have a product created from it.
With the opening of this new store at Denver International Airport, Ciara and Russell Wilson’s sustainable fashion brands continue to make a positive impact while offering stylish and environmentally conscious clothing options to travelers and visitors.
