Avianca Airline’s Inaugural Flight to Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Harry Reid International Airport welcomed Colombian-based airline Avianca’s inaugural flight to Las Vegas on Saturday. The flight departed from San Salvador, El Salvador, and marked the beginning of Avianca’s seasonal nonstop flights to Las Vegas.


Increased Accessibility to Las Vegas

The inaugural flight by Avianca airline offers more travel options to Las Vegas with three weekly flights departing from Harry Reid International Airport. These flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, providing over 4,000 seats per week for travelers. The increased accessibility is expected to boost tourism and strengthen the connection between Las Vegas and South America.

Rise in South American Visitors

In 2022, Las Vegas witnessed a significant surge in visitors from South America. The city welcomed 148,920 visitors from the region, representing an impressive 183.2% increase compared to the previous year. This trend reflects the growing popularity of Las Vegas as a travel destination for South American tourists.
