Youtubers shares experience of OceanGate Mission III
Youtuber Jake Koehler must think he has a guardian angel looking out for him. He was booked on to OceanGate’s Mission III dive to the Titanic wreck just a few weeks ago, which was cancelled due to adverse weather. Koehler, from Columbus, Georgia, posted a video on his Youtube channel this weekend, documenting his experience of being on board MV Polar Prince as he and the rest of the crew prepared to descend to the Titanic wreck.
“I did not pay for a spot on the ship. I was there to record our experience for my channel,” Koehler, who goes by the name ‘DALLMYD’ on social media, explained. “With the whole world watching the rescue efforts of the missing submarine around the Titanic, I thought I’d share my experience of Mission III just a few weeks ago. Please keep in mind, there are a lot of smiles and a lot of laughs – we honestly had no idea what would happen in the days to come“.

Koehler, accompanied by his girlfriend, bought a wreath to toss onto the waves at the site where Titanic sank, to remember those who perished. He was on Titan for a brief test dive, which shows fascinating footage from inside the submersible and how the crew were bolted into the vessel.
