5 Exercises You’re Not Doing (But Should Be!)

1. Deadlifts

Deadlifts are known as the king of exercises as they work multiple muscle groups, including our core and back. They help in building strength and increasing mobility.

2. Turkish Get-ups

Turkish Get-ups focus on overall body strength and mobility, but primarily the core and shoulder muscles. It involves standing up from lying flat on the ground while holding a weight above your head. This exercise may seem intense, and it is, but the rewards for doing it are well worth it.

3. Pull-ups

If you want to improve your strength, maintaining good posture, and develop upper body strength then pull-ups are the answer. They target the biceps, triceps, and core muscles in one swift movement.

4. Bulgarian Split Squat

Bulgarian split squats may not be as common as the classic squats, but they are as effective – It’s a variation where you stand with one foot forward, one foot backward and sinking into a lunge-like position. This exercise builds leg strength whilst providing a stretch for many muscles involved in lower-body mobility.

5. Renegade Rows

This exercise targets our back, arms, and core., speaking of which, it is one of the few exercises that can produce visible improvements in our abs. Take a pushup position, hold up the weights and pull them one by one keeping your body in a stable position – this doesn’t just build strength but equally contributes to the development of lean muscles.
