20 Asteroids That Could Change Earth Forever

The Frightening List of Asteroids That Could Threaten Earth

The universe is vast and mysterious, and it’s hard to determine the dangers that might be hiding in space. That’s why scientists keep tracking asteroids that could come into contact with Earth, and if these asteroids do touch our planet, they could trigger catastrophes of unimaginable proportions. Out of the thousands of asteroids existing in space, these top 20 asteroids could change life on Earth forever.

Giving Meteorites an Earthly Tour:

A meteorite is a space object, such as a comet, asteroid, or meteoroid that enters Earth’s atmosphere, explodes or hits the surface as a rock (meteor). Here are 20 asteroids, in no particular order according to diameter and potential risk level:

1. (29075) 1950 DA from NASA’s list of Potentially Hazardous Asteroids:

Measuring approximately 1.3 miles in diameter, this asteroid has been classified as a potential danger to Earth and is set to come frighteningly near in March 2880.

2. Asteroid 2021 MD:

While it missed its scheduled passage last year, Asteroid 2021 DM was only discovered recently. The two-mile dwarf planet could potentially threaten Earth.

3. Apophis (99942):

Apophis takes its name from an Egyptian serpent god renowned for destruction and sits atop the list of potentially hazardous asteroids. The 1,100 foot asteroid had previously been thought to be headed straight for earth and threatening possible civilization at various points.

4. 2004XP14:

The 1050ft long asteroid called 2004 XP14 is propelled by liquid metallic sloshing around inside & runs the risk of causing tsunami-sized shock waves if ever hit the Earth fully in direct contact.

5. 2006QV89:

Sometimes it’s not going hard but approaching fast, this Asteroid broke headlines in 2019 as it was ‘on a hazard list’ and poised for near-miss with Earth.

6. 2019 MB4:

The Astroid that overflies earth today to within 1 lunar flyby once posed danger while on asteroid impacts trajectory.
133m wide and flying at a rate of 27,256 mph speeds per hour, this asteroid intended to avoid loitering in our solar system and almost avoided detection!

7. 2007 VK184:

Regarded as potentially hazardous by the researchers and measuring slightly over two kilometers across, astroid 2007 VK184 is located in a relatively stable orbit between the planets Jupiter and Mars but according to to astronomical observations, it is not known whether its orbit lies due to the sun or whether it could adapt and hit the earth.

8. 2007 TU24:

This asteroid that expectedly approached Earth by the evening of 2008 posed a slight hazard to Earth it still breaking research as we do not know much about the object.

9. 2019 SU3:

The closest known asteroid to ever come near the earth’s surface was named SU3, which measures 49.2. According to a trusted source NASA, on September 27, 2020, the asteroid reportedly flew hardly 1.8 times the radius(305-meter) within an outmoded radius of earth.

10. (153591) 2001 SN263:

Research revealed that this asteroid reportedly reached its third rotation back in 2008, with no instant danger to Earth, the eventual fate stays uncertain beyond the year 2200.

11. 2015 EG39:

Being on the list of potentially hazardous geo objects is not a badge of respectability. Considering its diameter and turbulence which can tumble like dice, this fast-moving space entity makes the sole exception of noteworthy difference leveling it high up potentially on NASA radar list.

12. 101955 Bennu:

NASA’s Osiris-Rex spacecraft is exploring “Bennu,” NASA’s next sampling station & class B really close for contact with Earth. Possessing benign size close to its infinite relatives, its name belongs to Egyptian mythology concerning a rather infamous occupation with matter wrong-headed by modern scientists. Benign or otherwise Bennu stays as unfamiliar reality.

13. 2000 QW7:

Larger than the height(almost 463 x 1010 cm), 2000 QW7 chews through standing orders’ heights at a staggering speed even greater than 44,000 kph should it avoid near areas such as earth’s surface.

14. 2029 Doomsday Asteroid:

Concerns regarding this 370-meter wide asteroid were put to rest after discovering that instead of hitting the planet, it flew by us without wreaking any havoc.

15. Five top can-kill us floating space hunks remained unscanned according to Finnish researchers:

According to statistics uncovered by researchers at the Finnish all-sky observatory, the Baltic’s sole observatory known for crunching numbers on potentially hazardous near earth asteroids for a 14-hour durational timeframe theorizes that approximately 80% of the potentially near-hazardous category remains unearthed globally as only 20% have been acknowledged bodily risks.

16. The Ejecta (Chicxulub name after the eventual crater forming impact radio podcaster Ben Gue):

That terrifying twenty-roarer that massified mercury conducted Earth-headed rendering broad-spectrum dominion life unperceivable thereafter introducing temporal era known as the late Cretaceous extinction ~ 66 trillion years ago with a 10 km long crater now residing in what is now Yokatan Peninsula is Chixculoub beloved by astrophiles worldwide.

17. The Perturbing Acronoid/Cenroid:

While unsurfaced ever before engaging in our solar system and dropping through misiled space debris, the asteroid nemesis, a binary-like possibly dangerously massive asteroidic composed top of minerals nicknamed “Perturbation” after years of discovery set their transgalactic effects largely inconsistent with expectations.

18. The Little Asteroid That Could in Pre-impact:

Popular vibrancy in the coming year breathes life into all communities. Community enthusiastic citizens are optimistic because come 22:22 am on New Year’s central European timing (21.22 Greenwich mead timer), 2014 JO25 asteroid featuring gnashing jaws will likely bypass Earth according to atomic keeping time!

19. The Valuable Soul:

If we had to choose between our rare metal-dependent wireless communication providers- device industry product effect we arguably embraced with plenty between ‘Valuable Asteroid exes which out space 7.5 GHz smartphone hubs for semiconductors priced higher than gold (enhaping new prototypes modeling quantum computing test your theories for anything useful).

20. The Nameless Chondrights Classification *O.R.CO.

These objects enable paleontologists to geologically engineer dating dig residences as shreds of leftovers include important sciences from dates formative years preserve fossil finds today including asteroid altering climate going to die.
