10 Strangest UFO Sightings in History
The Roswell Incident
In 1947, debris from a crashed unidentified flying object (UFO) was discovered on a ranch in Roswell, New Mexico, USA. Many people believe the debris came from an extraterrestrial spacecraft.
The Aurora, Texas UFO Crash
On April 17th, 1897, a UFO crashed in Aurora, Texas, USA. The local newspaper reported that the pilot of the UFO was not from Earth and was thought to have been buried in an unmarked grave in the town.
The Battle of Los Angeles
During World War II, in 1942, a UFO was spotted flying over the city of Los Angeles, California at night. The military fired anti-aircraft weapons at it but the UFO was not damaged and no evidence of the incident was ever found.
The Travis Walton Abduction
In 1975, Travis Walton claimed he was abducted by a UFO while working as a logger in Arizona, USA. His abduction lasted for five days, and when he returned to Earth, he had no idea where he had been or what had happened to him.
The Battle of Nuremberg
In 1561, in Nuremberg, Germany, a battle unfolded in the sky over the city where a large number of UFOs could be seen firing at one another. According to reports, spheres and cylindrical objects also were present.
The Belgian UFO Wave
In 1990, Belgium witnessed a mass sighting of many massive triangular-shaped objects flying over the country. While the extent of the incident is not fully known, it is referred to as “UFO Wave” because of its extensive media coverage impacted many.
The Tunguska Event
In 1908, an event happened near the Tunguska River in Russia where a bright flash lit up the sky and streaked through it causing widespread damage. It is now believed that a meteor or a UFO struck the surface of the Earth and created this devastating result.
The Rendlesham Forest Incident
Just a few days after Christmas in 1980 in Suffolk, England, two military officers reported seeing an unidentified flying object crash into the forest. Several subsequent visits to Relesham Forest were conducted and other credible encounters by military personnel did follow-up research.
The Phoenix Lights
In March 1997, thousands of people in Phoenix, Arizona saw lights in the sky arranged in a triangle formation above them. Military craft was in the air above Phoenix as well but the events are still unexplained until now.

Taken in Oregon, the McMinnville photos show some highly unusual characteristics that have not been able to satisfactorily explain until now with a discernible oval shape found around tree coerners of the photographs to semi-transparency across the bodly of the craft.
